Grown on Acacia Dealbata, Mimosa is a small evergreen tree with silvery-green leaves and yellow flowers. The Mimosa flower is a wonder of nature, with its unique shape and scent! Originally native to Australia, the plant was brought to France by Captain James Cook, an English explorer, in the 18th century, where it thrived in the winters of the temperate Mediterranean coast. Today, every year in the first weeks of February, the first Mimosa flowers bloom, turning the hills surrounding Grasse, the perfume capital of France, a brilliant yellow.
